Requirements
- Master's or Doctorate Degree in Nursing with a focus on Psychiatric nursing.
- Graduation from a state-certified advance practice program specializing in psychiatry/mental health.
- Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in Psychiatric Mental Health (PMH) as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
- Current DEA Certification.
- Valid CA Driver's License.
- Valid Lifesaving Certification.
- Minimum 1-2 years of providing direct client care to persons receiving treatment for psychiatric disorders.
- Experience in telemedicine.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of a licensed psychiatrist, conduct psychiatric evaluations.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.
- Coordinate with other behavioral health and primary medical providers in support care management within an integrated model.
- Diagnose, prescribe medication, monitor medication side effects, and participate in the treatment process.
