We are seeking compassionate and positive Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide therapeutic support for service users with mental health, behavioral health and substance abuse issues. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with RHA, you will be responsible for managing psychotropic medications for the clients of RHA. Duties include initial Psychiatric Evaluation of client and subsequent follow up visits for medication evaluation and management. Requirements

• Certification as a psychiatric nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
• Experience working with the population supported.
• Limited supervision and direction.
• Licensed by the North Carolina Nursing Board as a Registered Nurse.
• Certified at the national level by American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Familiar with standards of practice for position and NC Medicaid Board as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Valid driver's license.
• Personal vehicle insurance coverage.
• CPR, first aid, NCI certification and others that may be specified and/or required by future company regulations.
• Maintain proficiency in company sponsored training and certifications and privileging if required.
• Complete criminal background check.
• Name checked in the registries (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities).
• Drug testing.
• Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
• Proof of employment history or references (if required).
• Proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle, IF required for providing transportation for individuals.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred 3 years experience working in behavioral health care.
• Experience in providing crisis management services in the following settings: assertive outreach, assertive community treatment, emergency department or other service providing 24/7 response in emergent or urgent situations.
• Candidates who treat adults or children/adolescents.

Responsibilities
