We are seeking compassionate and positive Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide therapeutic support for service users with mental health, behavioral health and substance abuse issues. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with RHA, you will be responsible for managing psychotropic medications for the clients of RHA. Requirements

  • Certification as a psychiatric nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
  • Experience working with the population supported.
  • Limited supervision and direction.
  • Licensed by the North Carolina Nursing Board as a Registered Nurse.
  • Certified at the national level by American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Familiar with standards of practice for position and NC Medicaid Board as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Personal vehicle insurance coverage.
  • CPR, first aid, NCI certification and others that may be specified and/or required by future company regulations.
  • Maintain proficiency in company sponsored training and certifications and privileging if required.
  • Complete criminal background check.
  • Name checked in the registries (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities).
  • Drug testing.
  • Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
  • Proof of employment history or references (if required).
  • Proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle, IF required for providing transportation for individuals.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred 3 years experience working in behavioral health care.
  • Experience in providing crisis management services in the following settings: assertive outreach, assertive community treatment, emergency department or other service providing 24/7 response in emergent or urgent situations.
  • Candidates who treat adults or children/adolescents.

Responsibilities
