Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Telehealth Position
About The Position
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide medication management services through the company’s telehealth platform. The role includes virtual psychiatric assessments and evaluations, prescribing and monitoring psychiatric medications, and coordinating care with licensed therapists and counselors. The provider has autonomy over clinical decisions and is expected to use their clinical judgment to determine appropriate care. The practice offers mental health services to clients across the United States, including individual, group, couples, teen, and Christian counseling, as well as medication management.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in psychiatric-mental health.
- Current state licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and national certification.
- At least 2 years of post-certification clinical experience in psychiatric-mental health.
- Experience with telehealth platforms and technology for virtual patient consultations.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and medication management skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- An independent collaborative physician arrangement that allows autonomous practice.
Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual psychiatric assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate medication management plans.
- Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications, adjusting dosages and treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with licensed therapists and counselors to provide integrated care.
- Educate and support clients and their families regarding medication adherence, potential side effects, and therapeutic interventions.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and comply with ethical guidelines and legal requirements.
- Exercise clinical judgment and autonomy in determining appropriate care for clients.
