The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will perform all duties and responsibilities of a Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) in accordance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations. This role involves conducting therapy, medication assessments, and crisis response for clients. The practitioner will develop individual service plans, provide therapeutic interventions, and manage ongoing medication services. Key responsibilities include psychiatric evaluations, consultations, and medication management, as well as maintaining comprehensive case records and ensuring compliance with COMPASS and third-party standards. The role also requires providing psychiatric consultation to staff, maintaining a collaboration agreement with a Psychiatrist, and holding a valid DEA license. Additionally, the position involves documenting billable activities, potentially providing clinical supervision to nursing staff, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The practitioner will also assist staff in establishing medically appropriate practices and protocols and review medical-related policies and procedures.
