About The Position

Talkiatry is a clinician-led, virtual psychiatry practice built to combine the stability of a hospital practice with the clinical autonomy of private practice. This role is designed for experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) who want predictable, W-2 compensation and benefits, control over their schedule, session structure, and patient population, and minimal administrative burden in a fully remote, outpatient model.

Requirements

  • Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
  • Active, unrestricted license with autonomous practice authority
  • Minimum of 3 years post-graduate clinical experience as a PMHNP
  • Experience delivering outpatient psychiatric care, including: Comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning and medication management
  • Experience with Psychoeducation and supportive therapy
  • Comfort practicing in a fully remote, telepsychiatry-based model
  • Proficiency using electronic medical records to document care accurately and efficiently
  • Strong clinical judgment
  • Clear communication skills

  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous clinical development

Responsibilities

  • 100% remote, outpatient psychiatric care
  • Provide care to lower to moderate acuity populations (ex. anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, PTSD)
  • Conduct standard session lengths (60-minute intakes, 30-minute follow-ups)
  • Practice within an integrated care model with in-house referral network to psychiatrists and therapists
  • Utilize full operational support including scheduling, billing, intake coordination, and licensing
  • Maintain clinical autonomy and flexibility in schedule and session structure
  • Make clinical decisions without pressure to shorten visits or increase volume
  • Practice using electronic medical records to document care accurately and efficiently
  • Collaborate with a team-based approach
  • Commit to evidence-based practice and continuous clinical development
