Requirements

  • Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
  • Active New York State license and registration as a PMHNP-BC
  • DEA License
  • BLS Certification
  • Strong clinical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and provide treatment for conditions such as anxiety, depression, and mood disorders.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments, diagnostic tests, and patient history.
  • Prescribe and manage medications, ensuring optimal therapeutic outcomes and adjusting as needed.
  • Identify patients who may require higher levels of care and provide appropriate referrals.
  • Educate patients on self-management strategies to enhance their long-term mental health.
  • Work closely with colleagues in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
  • Provide training for clinicians interested in ketamine therapy, including consultations, prescribing, administration, and monitoring.
