About The Position

We are seeking a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide outpatient psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and treatment services for adults living with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders in Hampton, VA. Requirements

Master’s Degree with an Active Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license with Psychiatric Nurse/Mental Health Practitioner specialty
One (1) year of experience working with individuals who are living with mental illness and/or substance use disorders.
DEA registration or eligibility

Responsibilities

Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and treatment for adults with serious mental illness in an outpatient setting.
Conduct assessments.
Develop treatment plans.
Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications under a collaborative practice agreement.
Respond to client crises.
Maintain accurate documentation.
Provide therapeutic support and educate clients and families on treatment plans while considering individual mental health, cultural, and financial needs.
Collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals to deliver comprehensive patient-centered mental health care, focusing on helping clients adapt and thrive in their environments.
