About The Position

Our OMH Adult Outpatient Clinic offers a multi-disciplinary team of licensed independent practitioners and clinicians to serve adults with co-occurring symptoms and disorders. We integrate medication with therapy for optimal client outcomes, focusing on symptom reduction, self-awareness, and personal goal achievement using evidence-based practices and a holistic approach.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in New York State
- Experience in acute care of community mental health
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to use a computer
Responsibilities
- Complete initial mental status examination for new patients.
- Prescribe psychotropic medications, as needed.
- Conduct regularly scheduled medication reviews for ongoing patients.
- Consult with clinical staff regarding the psychiatric and psychosocial challenges faced by patients.
- Assist clinical staff in managing crisis situations.
- Complete documentation as required by Equinox and regulatory bodies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
