Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
About The Position
Vail Health is seeking a Psychiatric Advanced Practice Provider to join the inpatient behavioral health team at Precourt Healing Center. The role provides compassionate, patient-centered psychiatric care to inpatients and supports them throughout treatment and transition to the next level of care. The APP works alongside psychiatrists and an interdisciplinary team in a dedicated inpatient behavioral health environment, contributing to the development of accessible, integrated behavioral healthcare for Colorado’s mountain communities. The schedule is seven days on followed by seven days off. Housing is available, and the role offers a sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and potential Colorado Health Service Corps loan repayment of up to $120,000.
Requirements
- Eligible for Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party reimbursement, and not on any exclusion list.
- Valid Colorado Physician Assistant license, or valid Colorado medical license as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
- Current DEA registration with no restrictions on prescribing controlled substances.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered psychiatric care to inpatient behavioral health patients.
- Support patients throughout inpatient treatment and their transition to the next level of care.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and the broader interdisciplinary care team.
- Contribute to the continued growth of behavioral health services in the region.
