About The Position

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mid-level Medical Provider, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician's Assistant (PA), to join our Outpatient Therapy Team (OPT) in New Bern, NC. This role involves providing stabilization and treatment services to patients with mental health and/or substance use diagnoses. The provider will collaborate with other clinical professionals to achieve positive patient outcomes. Services include medical diagnosis, ordering therapy, prescribing medications, and medication management. The Provider is responsible for maintaining accurate referral sources, a therapeutic environment, and promoting healthy interpersonal behavior. Supervision is provided for NPs and PAs.

Requirements

Current NC License to practice or Certification Required as a NP or PA.
Experience managing mental health diagnosis including depression, anxiety, bipolar and psychotic disorders required.

Nice To Haves

Substance Use and/or Medication Assisted Treatment experience preferred.
