About The Position

Harmony United Psychiatric Care, part of Harmony United Healthcare LLC, is hiring a full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for its outpatient clinic in Lutz, Florida. The organization provides in-person and virtual outpatient mental health services, including psychiatric and psychological evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy and counseling, and neuropsychological testing. Its clinicians care for adults, adolescents, and children aged five and above, with an emphasis on compassionate, individualized care.

The role provides psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, brief psychotherapeutic interventions, and other therapeutic care for patients with a variety of mental health conditions. The position works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and provides patient and family education. The schedule is four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts per week. Offices are open Monday through Thursday; additional telemedicine days Friday through Sunday are available for additional pay. After productivity targets are achieved, there is an option to work 50% via telemedicine. Phone-only on-call duty is required seven days every five to six months.

Compensation includes a base salary, monthly productivity bonuses, quarterly performance bonuses, and additional pay for an additional workday. The posting states that earnings may exceed $180,000 annually with a 40-hour work week, with up to $40,000 additional per year available for additional days. Requirements

• At least two years of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, or one year of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner plus three years as a Nurse Practitioner in any specialty.
• Board certification to practice.
• An active Florida license.

Responsibilities

• Provide medication management and brief psychotherapeutic interventions.
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, make diagnoses, and provide therapeutic interventions for patients with a variety of mental health conditions.
• Administer long-acting injectable medications when necessary; the posting notes this is infrequent in most clinics.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
• Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families about mental health conditions and therapeutic strategies.
• Document services rendered in compliance with company policies and procedures.
