About The Position

TeamHealth is seeking a PMHNP or Psychiatric Physician Assistant to provide behavioral health care for older adults in inpatient and post-acute settings. The role offers clinical autonomy, flexible scheduling, and organizational support without the administrative responsibilities of private practice. The coverage area includes Knoxville, Jefferson City, and Rocky Top, Tennessee, with a mix of onsite and virtual care days.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Tennessee license as a PMHNP-C or Psych PA-C.
• Active DEA registration or willingness to obtain one.
• At least 1 year of experience as a PMHNP or Psych PA.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with inpatient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and mental status examinations.
• Diagnose and treat psychiatric, behavioral, and neurocognitive disorders in older adults.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.
• Evaluate behavioral and safety concerns.
• Provide brief interventions and behavioral management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams across care settings.
