About The Position
A well-established behavioral health program in eastern Iowa is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide inpatient psychiatric care. The provider will perform psychiatric evaluations, manage psychotropic medications, and collaborate with psychiatrists across adolescent and adult units. Responsibilities include supporting a structured weekday schedule with limited call and contributing to high-quality interdisciplinary care; this role offers a competitive compensation package.
Requirements
- Experience in inpatient psychiatric care, with adolescent or adult populations
- Experience managing psychotropic medication plans in collaboration with physicians
- Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- Active, unrestricted DEA registration
- Eligibility for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance participation
- Active Iowa PMHNP license or eligibility
