About The Position
CHE Behavioral Health Services is seeking Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) or experienced Physician Assistants to provide psychiatric care in long-term care and rehabilitation settings in Jacksonville, Florida. The organization serves more than 100,000 patients across more than 800 facilities in 11+ states. This W2-employed role is available full-time or part-time. Clinicians choose their weekday schedule, Monday through Friday, with no nights, weekends, or on-call duties. Work is available in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and assisted living facilities, with predictable caseloads and a collaborative multidisciplinary clinical environment. The role includes psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits, treatment planning, psychotropic medication management, and collaboration with an integrated care team. CHE provides clinical supervision, training, CEUs, mentorship, and opportunities for advancement.
Requirements
- MSN in Psychiatric/Mental Health.
- ANCC PMHNP certification.
- Experience in psychotropic medication management.
- Active DEA registration.
Nice To Haves
- Family Nurse Practitioners with 3–5 years of psychiatric experience will be considered.
- Experienced Physician Assistants are also considered.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, LCSWs, nursing staff, and other members of the integrated care team.
- Distinguish and diagnose psychological versus physiological disorders.
- Consult on complex or unusual clinical cases.
