About The Position

Gulf Coast Integrative Health is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join its multidisciplinary mental health care team. Requirements

Master's or doctoral degree in nursing with a specialization in psychiatry.
Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state where the clinic is located.
Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification.
Proven experience in a psychiatric nursing role.
Strong understanding of and ability to comply with legal and ethical nursing standards.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to empathize with patients, convey information, and build relationships.
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Ability to work as part of a team and handle a potentially stressful work environment.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to develop accurate diagnoses and inform treatment plans.
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Monitor patient responses to treatment and make necessary adjustments.
Educate patients and families about psychiatric disorders and treatment strategies to support understanding, treatment adherence, and relapse prevention.
Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records, and protect patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
Provide crisis intervention as needed.
Stay current with trends and best practices in psychiatric nursing.
