Requirements
- Master's Degree from an accredited nursing program
- PMHNP-BC certification
- At least one year of independent psychiatric experience working under licensure
- Active Pennsylvania PMHNP/APRN license
- DEA license and State Prescriptive Authority
- Own a phone, computer, and high-speed internet
- Flexibility to work during Blackbird's core after-school hours: after 4pm ET during the week and/or weekends
- Experience working with children and adolescents as a psychiatric nurse practitioner
- Practiced independently at the top of your scope for at least one year under licensure
- Skilled in facilitating both in-person and virtual sessions with strong technical proficiency (Google Suite, EMR systems, virtual platforms)
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses for children, adolescents, and young adults.
- Develop personalized treatment plans and provide medication management.
- Build meaningful therapeutic relationships with patients and families, providing education and fostering trust.
- Monitor patient progress against care goals and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Ensure patient safety and intervene proactively when concerns arise.
- Collaborate with therapists and other healthcare professionals to create integrated treatment plans.
- Participate in weekly team and supervisory clinical meetings.
- Provide consultation and education to patients and their families.
- Oversee diagnostic testing, including digital and lab results.
- Maintain thorough, HIPAA-compliant records of patient meetings and progress.
