About The Position

Responsibilities include the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and medical management of various psychiatric conditions, maintaining accurate documentation, and educating facility staff on psychiatric care and patient needs, all while ensuring compliance with CMS guidelines and facility policies.

Requirements

• Unrestricted PMHNP license.
• Knowledge of standard documentation practices.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with geriatric population and persons with dementia preferred.
• Experience working in a post-acute or healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Optimize quality of life for residents in skilled nursing, assisted living and/or longterm care settings working alongside an interdisciplinary team that includes medical professionals, psychotherapists and facility staff.
• Assessment, diagnosis, treatment and medical management of conditions including anxiety, depression, adjustment disorder, and pre-existing mental illnesses.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation.
• Provide education to facility staff regarding psychiatric care and patient needs.
• Ensure compliance with CMS guidelines and facility policies
