About The Position
A trauma-informed behavioral health program in southern Missouri is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide urgent-care psychiatric services in a fast-paced outpatient setting. The provider will conduct psychiatric evaluations, manage psychotropic medications, and treat patients experiencing acute mental illness and co-occurring disorders. Responsibilities include working within an interdisciplinary team, supporting a consistent weekday schedule, and delivering high-quality care with minimal supervision; this role offers a competitive compensation package.
Requirements
- Experience providing psychiatric care in urgent care, outpatient, or acute settings
- Experience managing patients with acute mental illness and co-occurring disorders
- PMHNP certification
- Active Missouri APRN license or eligibility
- Active, unrestricted DEA registration
- Ability to work on-site in a collaborative, team-based environment
