The Multnomah County Health Department is seeking a visionary and dynamic Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join their Integrated Clinical Services team. This role is crucial in advancing health equity, protecting vulnerable populations, and promoting health and wellness for everyone. The PMHNP will provide professional, comprehensive, and specialized psychiatric nursing services with an emphasis on disease prevention and health promotion. This position involves establishing therapeutic relationships with a diverse patient population, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic mental health conditions across the lifespan, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing and monitoring medications, and providing patient education. The role also includes indirect clinical care, such as consulting with other providers, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and participating in meetings and continuing education.
