About The Position

PHA is seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide psychiatric care across multiple skilled nursing facilities. The role involves collaborating with facility staff and supervising physicians to deliver patient-centered care. It offers autonomy, professional growth, and support from an experienced physician-led group. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, and serves Northdale, Carrollwood, and Alhambra.

Requirements

Active State of Florida APRN license in good standing.
National Board Certification as PMHNP.
DEA license.
Post-acute care experience.
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
Ability to sit, stand, or use a computer for extended periods.
Manual dexterity for frequent hand and wrist motions.

Nice To Haves

One year of psychiatric experience is preferred; training is available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Conduct psychiatric evaluations, record patient histories, and maintain accurate documentation.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians and facility staff.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed.
Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications.
Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and psychiatric conditions.
Refer patients to specialists when appropriate.
Participate in case reviews, consultations, and ongoing care coordination.
Adhere to regulatory requirements and reporting standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
