About The Position

PHA is seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide psychiatric care across multiple skilled nursing facilities in Broward, Miami, and Fort Lauderdale. The role involves collaborating with facility staff and supervising physicians to provide patient-centered care. It offers autonomy, professional growth, and support from an experienced physician-led group. The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• Active State of Florida APRN license in good standing.
• National Board Certification as PMHNP.
• DEA license required.
• Post-acute care experience required.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.

Nice To Haves

• One year of psychiatric experience preferred; training is available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, record patient histories, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians and facility staff.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications.
• Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and psychiatric conditions.
• Refer patients to specialists when appropriate.
• Participate in case reviews, consultations, and ongoing care coordination.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements and reporting standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
