About The Position
MaineGeneral Medical Center is offering a great opportunity for a full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join a supportive and compassionate team. This position offers a balance of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, which could be a great fit for someone looking to expand their clinical experience across different care settings. The team includes experienced nurses, social workers, and mental health professionals, fostering a collaborative approach to care. This position requires occasional weekday inpatient coverage and participation in the weekend rotation for our 30-bed inpatient unit. Offering a full range of care for individuals with mental health or substance use treatment needs, the incredible team works to develop plans to compassionately care for each patient to continue treatment in the community.
Requirements
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) - Maine State Board of Nursing
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Maine State Board of Nursing
- Prior experience is preferred, but new grads who are passionate and dedicated to this field may also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Provides primary or acute healthcare services for certain acute or chronic health conditions in specific populations in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
- Works with adults 18+ in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including those dealing with acute mental health disorders or medical detox.
- Provides occasional weekday inpatient coverage and participates in the weekend rotation for the 30-bed inpatient unit.
- Develops plans to compassionately care for each patient to continue treatment in the community.
