About The Position

SAGE Counseling is actively looking for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). The PMHNP is responsible for providing comprehensive, patient-centered psychiatric care to individuals with general mental health conditions and co-occurring substance use disorders. This role focuses on delivering evidence-based assessment, diagnosis and treatment services, including medication management and supportive interventions. The PMHNP conducts psychiatric evaluations, develops and implements treatments plans, monitors patent progress, and adjusts care as clinically indicated. The position emphasizes integrated recovery-oriented care that supports stabilization, symptom management, improved functioning and successful reintegration into the community. Clients are seen in-person at our Tempe, Scottsdale, or Glendale office - you will have an office based out of which of these offices is closest to your home. Some travel may be required to visit these offices as needed.

Requirements

  • Current, unrestricted state license to practice as a Psychiatrist (MD/DO) or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
  • Board certification (Psychiatry or PMHNP-BC)
  • Active DEA registration
  • Valid and active Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in psychiatry
  • Experience with Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) services

Nice To Haves

  • Background supporting justice involved population with co-occurring behavioral health needs, including addiction.
  • Experience in community health, integrated care, or FQHC settings
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems and population health reporting tools

Responsibilities
