About The Position

Penobscot Community Health Care is seeking an Experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join Seaport Community Health Center, Bangor, Maine. This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established FQHC primary care practice with emphasis on providing outstanding integrated health care. The practice offers a full range of primary health care services including mental health, recovery treatment and medication assisted treatment. Must have completed the required 24-month supervision period to be considered. Requirements

Must have completed the required 24-month supervision period to be considered.

Responsibilities

Establishes therapeutic relationships in order to facilitate the patient’s progress with treatment goals.
Provides psychiatric evaluation, determines diagnoses and prescribes appropriate treatment as indicated for a variety of psychiatric conditions, and obtains consultation from collaborating physician when appropriate.
Develops and maintains psychotherapy skills to meet the needs of a diverse population.
Performs and documents psychiatric evaluations and medication follow-up.
Provides direct individual, family and group therapy.
Provides consultation to PCHC providers.
