At Children’s, we know that behavioral and mental health are key to a child’s overall well-being. By providing access to a range of care—prevention, intervention and crisis recovery services—we can help mitigate risk and support mind, brain and behavioral development throughout childhood. Our team utilizes a holistic, family-centered approach to care and evidence-based treatment method. This is a 0.5 FTE (20 hours/week) position. The shifts will be 10 hours in the ED with cross coverage for inpatient consults at any of Children's three hospitals. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive care and consultation as a primary mental health care provider at an advanced practice level to children and their families through assessment, communication, clinical management, collaboration, coordination, education, program development, research, self-evaluation, professional development and system participation. PMHNPs also provide a full range of services from mental health promotion to mental illness rehabilitation.
