About The Position
Centurion of Florida is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join their team at Columbia Correctional Institution Annex in Lake City, Florida. This role involves providing outpatient mental health services to a male patient population within a correctional setting. The PMHNP will be responsible for mental health/psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, working under the clinical direction of a psychiatrist and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The institution is described as having a cohesive multidisciplinary team, being well-staffed, and offering excellent collaboration with the Centurion medical team, FLDOC administrative team, and correctional officers.
Requirements
- ANCC or ANA certification as an APRN-PMH or NCCPA Physician Assistants with CAQ in Psychiatry
- Active unrestricted Florida APRN-PMH or PA - CAQ license
- Active unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration certificate
- Minimum of 6 months of full-time PMHNP prescribing experience
- Able and willing to pass a comprehensive background investigation
- Work legally in the United States without sponsorship
