About The Position

Our client is a mission-driven Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that has been providing affordable, high-quality healthcare services to underserved and uninsured populations across Indiana since 1977. The organization operates ten healthcare centers, eight Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) nutrition program locations, a Mobile Health Unit, and in-house Pharmacy services. They deliver integrated primary medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare services to patients of all ages and backgrounds throughout the state. Our client is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join their outpatient behavioral health team in South Bend, Indiana. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced PMHNP to make a meaningful impact within a collaborative, mission-focused environment.

Requirements

• Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• Active Indiana medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Current DEA license / prescriptive authority (post-hire)
• 2+ years of clinical experience preferred
• BLS certification

• Spanish-speaking skills preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• 100% outpatient behavioral health
• Manage patients of all ages with a variety of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions
• 35 patient care hours and 5 administrative hours per week
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and treatment planning
• Diagnose mental health conditions and prescribe medications as appropriate
• Provide patient education and counseling regarding treatment plans and medications
• Collaborate with integrated primary care and behavioral health teams
• Participate in clinic staff meetings and quality initiatives
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and organizational standards
• Utilize eClinicalWorks EMR
