About The Position

The team, comprising psychiatrists, psychologists, physician assistants, certified registered nurse practitioners, licensed clinical social workers, psychiatric nurses, and occupational therapists, collaborates to ensure optimal patient outcomes. In addition to inpatient behavioral health services at LVH–Muhlenberg, LVH–Schuylkill, and LVH–Pocono, LVHN offers short-term services at LVH–Muhlenberg and LVH–Cedar Crest, including individual, couples, family, and group therapy, and medication management for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. This is a full-time Consultation Liaison Psychiatry Opportunity for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Allentown, PA. The Department of Psychiatry is expanding, currently including over 40 psychiatrists and 120 mental health professionals, and welcomed its first psychiatry residency class in 2019. LVHN provides a full continuum of behavioral health care, from emergency evaluation to intensive care, partial hospitalization, outpatient follow-up, homecare, and skilled nursing facility consultation.
