About The Position
Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is a nationally recognized, forward-thinking health network seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join their team. LVHN is dedicated to providing a safe and comfortable environment for the community to overcome life's challenges. The Department of Psychiatry is growing and comprises over 40 psychiatrists and 120 mental health professionals, with a full continuum of behavioral health care services. This is a full-time outpatient opportunity located at the LVPG Adult and Pediatric Psychiatry Practice in Allentown, PA. The role offers a great opportunity to design your ideal position within areas such as Inpatient Psychiatry, Consultation/Liaison Psychiatry, Outpatient Psychiatry, or Child/Adolescent Psychiatry, with opportunities for mentorship and professional development within a large healthcare organization.
Requirements
- Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified.
- A current Pennsylvania Medical License or ability to obtain one is required.
- A network champion for Psychiatry and a passion for the clinical work.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric mental health services to children, adolescents, adults, and older adults.
- Collaborate with a team of psychiatrists, psychologists, physician assistants, certified registered nurse practitioners, licensed clinical social workers, psychiatric nurses, and occupational therapists.
- Offer individual, couples, family, and group therapy.
- Provide medication management when indicated.
- Participate in designing an ideal position within Inpatient Psychiatry, Consultation/Liaison Psychiatry, Outpatient Psychiatry, or Child/Adolescent Psychiatry.
