About The Position
MOOD is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join their team in Salinas, CA. This is a W2, in-person role that offers a hybrid model, allowing for both in-office and telehealth patient care. The PMHNP will provide psychiatric care to patients aged 11 and up, treating a range of conditions including anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and schizoaffective disorder. This position is designed for a clinician looking for a flexible, supported, and meaningful psychiatric practice within a dynamic startup environment.
Requirements
- Active California PMHNP license and California furnishing number
- Active or pending California DEA license
- 2+ years of experience treating adolescents (ages 11–17) and adults
- Experience diagnosing and treating: ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder
- Comfort with hybrid care delivery: in-person and virtual
- Proficiency with EHR and telehealth platforms
Nice To Haves
- Spanish fluency is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide in-person and telehealth psychiatric care to adolescents (11+) and adults
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe and manage medications, with careful attention to safety, efficacy, and patient education
- Maintain timely and complete clinical documentation in accordance with state and practice standards
- Participate in case consultations and peer collaboration
- Build strong therapeutic rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds
