About The Position

Innovative Treatment Centers (ITC) is a growing outpatient mental health and addiction medicine practice dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered care. Our multidisciplinary team specializes in psychiatric medication management, psychotherapy, interventional psychiatry, addiction treatment, and innovative approaches to behavioral healthcare. As we expand into Frederick, Maryland, we are seeking a compassionate and motivated Bilingual Spanish-Speaking Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to join our dynamic team. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing treatment for children, adolescents, and adults in an outpatient setting. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering culturally responsive, trauma-informed care and is committed to improving access to high-quality psychiatric services for Spanish-speaking communities. This position offers a hybrid work model consisting of both in-office and telehealth services.

Requirements

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
  • Active Maryland Nurse Practitioner license or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date.
  • Active DEA registration and CDS license or ability to obtain prior to start.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to culturally responsive and trauma-informed care.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience treating children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Experience in outpatient psychiatry, community mental health, or addiction medicine.
  • Experience providing telepsychiatry services.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (Tebra experience preferred).
  • Interest or experience in interventional psychiatry, Spravato, ADHD assessment, or substance use treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments.
  • Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Provide ongoing psychiatric medication management.
  • Evaluate and monitor treatment effectiveness and patient progress.
  • Order, review, and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic tests as clinically indicated.
  • Prescribe medications in accordance with federal and state regulations.
  • Identify and manage psychiatric emergencies, including suicide risk assessments and safety planning.
  • Coordinate care with therapists, primary care providers, specialists, schools, and community agencies.
  • Complete clinical documentation accurately and timely within the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, payer, CARF, and organizational standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and outcome measurement activities.
  • Utilize standardized rating scales and evidence-based assessment tools.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.
  • Collaborate closely with therapists, nursing staff, and administrative personnel.
  • Support a culture of clinical excellence, professionalism, and patient-centered care.
  • Participate in ongoing training and continuing education activities.
