About The Position

This role involves providing therapeutic interactions with residents, ensuring judgments made are appropriate to individual functioning and agency standards. Key responsibilities include medication management, comprehensive documentation using the Credible electronic health record system, and maintaining constructive interactions with essential others to advance care quality and the agency's community standing. The position also serves as an infection control resource and a medical resource to other agency programs, requiring sign-off on health assessments. Additional duties include phlebotomy (lab draws) and urine drug screen collection.

Requirements

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Must be competent in drawing blood.
• Knowledge of Electronic medical record systems.
• Microsoft office products.

Nice To Haves

• Three years social service and/or behavioral health related experience in a residential treatment facility is preferred.
• Experience working with co-occurring disorders is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Interactions with residents are therapeutic and advance the goals set forth in the ISP.
• Judgments made about residents or activities on resident’s behalf are appropriate both to the individual’s functioning and the agency’s risk tolerance standards.
• Medication management duties: Storage, handling, ordering and administration according to agency policy and generally accepted medical practice.
• Documentation is complete and timely utilizing Credible electronic health record system. Ensures that sufficient medical referral information is available as soon as possible. Intake paperwork, health assessment, progress notes, billing logs and discharge paperwork.
• Interactions with essential others is constructive and serves to advance the quality of care, the therapeutic milieu in the facility and the agency’s standing in the community.
