About The Position

This position is for a Psychiatric Liaison, PRN, located in Fresno/Clovis, CA. It is part of an all-PRN team designed for flexibility and opportunity. The role involves leading assessments and coordinating safe admissions, transfers, and referrals for patients experiencing psychiatric emergencies. The Psychiatric Liaison serves as a community liaison, responding to law enforcement, friends, and families. This position is part of the internal resource pool and is designated as a per diem role, providing staffing support across designated departments based on organizational needs. The role offers the opportunity to work at the only Level I Trauma Center between Los Angeles and Sacramento.

Requirements

Master's Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, Clinical Mental Health or related field OR Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
1 year of experience as a Psychiatric Liaison is required if qualifying with LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC.
2 years of experience is required if qualifying as an RN.
FCDBH-5150 - Fresno County 5150 Cert required within 90 days of hire or transfer into position.
BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required.
LCSW - State of California Licensed Clinical Social Worker OR LMFT - State of California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist OR LPCC - State of California Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor OR RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California.

Responsibilities

Lead assessments and coordinate the safe admission, transfer, referral of patients.
Serve as a liaison to the community.
Respond to law enforcement, friends, families, and others in order to serve patients who are experiencing a psychiatric emergency.
Provide staffing support across designated departments based on organizational needs.
