About The Position
The Psychiatric/DD Nurse works at Heartland Behavioral Healthcare, providing nursing care to individuals. The role includes providing medication, education, and empowerment; observing and documenting patients’ behavior, condition, and responses to medication; and monitoring health, vital signs, treatment-plan progress, and participation in activities. The nurse is a member of a multidisciplinary team that helps create a safe and positive environment through safety and observation rounds and group facilitation. This is a permanent, full-time, hourly classified position in the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 bargaining unit. The stated compensation range is $36.01–$50.37 per hour. The posting lists overnight shift schedules, shift differentials, and additional pay supplements. The position is located at Heartland Behavioral Healthcare in Massillon, Ohio.
Requirements
- Hold a current license as a registered professional nurse in Ohio, issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing under Section 4723.03 of the Revised Code.
- Submit official transcripts for all post-secondary education, coursework, or degrees listed on the application before receiving a formal employment offer.
Responsibilities
- Provide medication, education, and empowerment to individuals.
- Observe, evaluate, and record patient behavior, condition, and response to medication.
- Monitor patient health, including vital signs, treatment-plan progress, and activity participation.
- Participate as a multidisciplinary team member in creating a safe and positive environment through safety and observation rounds and group facilitation.
