About The Position

Provides mental health therapy services to clients in a behavioral health agency setting, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote recovery and improve overall well-being. This is a contract position with a flat rate of $42/hr, requiring a minimum commitment of 16 hours per month, scheduled consistently across the month to support team coverage and continuity of care. The role requires flexibility to work variable shifts, including days, evenings/nights, weekends, and holidays, based on departmental needs, and attendance at all mandatory trainings and educational sessions specific to the Psychiatric Crisis Department.

Requirements

  • Appropriate Independent Ohio licensure, required.
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy, required.
  • Experience providing and managing behavioral healthcare to children, adolescent and families, required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, peers and community representatives.
  • Must maintain a minimum commitment of 16 hours per month, scheduled consistently across the month to support team coverage and continuity of care.
  • Required to attend all mandatory trainings and educational sessions specific to the Psychiatric Crisis Department to maintain competency and compliance.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work variable shifts, including days, evenings/nights, weekends, and holidays, based on departmental needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in developing specific, realistic, and measurable treatment goals and objectives.
  • Accurately assesses and documents client presenting problems, history, symptomology, mental status, and diagnosis.
  • Prescribes initial interventions in a timely manner.
  • Employs strategies of intervention that are consistent with empirically supported treatments and consistent with program expectations.
  • Remains current in general knowledge of psychopharmacology in pediatric behavioral healthcare and collaborates consistently with team psychiatrist.
  • Coordinates client care with other service providers and community resources to assure continuity of care.
  • Completes clinical charting and other related administrative paperwork in accordance with policy standards.
