Boys & Girls Village provides a wide array of behavioral health programming, including a therapeutic K-12 school, community programs and substance use services, juvenile justice services as well as others. Most programs involve youth with significant behavioral, psychiatric and trauma related issues. The medical staff comprised of psychiatrists, APRN, and nursing staff provide a strength-based approach to evaluations, medication management, crisis assessments and operate within the context of a team. The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) serves as the treating prescriber, clinical consultant for Boys & Girls Village which require psychiatric involvement or oversight. Assignments are determined by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and are consistent with the needs, design, and goals of the identified programs. Services may be provided in community-based settings, on the Milford Campus, or remotely depending on program and operational needs. This position reports directly to the CMO and in collaboration with other BGV psychiatric staff and multidisciplinary treatment teams.
