About The Position
Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) to join our Behavioral Health team. The APN will provide psychiatric assessment, medication management, treatment planning, and ongoing care in collaboration with psychiatrists and the interdisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Current Illinois APRN license
- Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification
- Prescriptive authority as required
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- Behavioral health experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric assessments and follow-up visits
- Diagnose and manage behavioral health conditions
- Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications
- Develop and support individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and other clinical team members
- Provide patient and family education
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
