About The Position
Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, assists in psychiatric and nursing care delivery. Serves as an integral resource in establishing a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients. Is attuned to the individual needs of patients and modifies approach to care based on patient, age and outcomes. Serves as fill-in for utilization review for psychiatric patients.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience in the mental health field; or completion of Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program; or any combination of experience, education and training to equal 1 year experience in mental health field.
- BLS required prior to first clinical shift (must be issued by the American Heart Association).
- CPI required within 90 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
