The Psych RN House Supervisor will be the main point of contact onsite at the hospital during the day or overnight shift. This role is a key member of the nursing leadership team, responsible for ensuring patient and staff safety. The ideal candidate will provide guidance and support to all staff, fostering a positive work culture. This position requires strong leadership skills to organize medical and non-medical tasks for adolescent and adult patients during a shift. The candidate should demonstrate high-quality clinical and interpersonal skills, serving as an exemplary role model. A solid understanding of treatment procedures, interventions for acute psychotic and non-violent crises, and abnormal psychology in the adolescent psychiatric population is necessary. Familiarity with medical terminology, particularly in adolescent/adult psychiatric care, psycho-pharmacy, and psychotropic medications is essential. Basic teaching and training skills, problem-solving, organizational and time management abilities, crisis intervention, and strong written and oral communication skills are also important. Experience in facilitating or co-facilitating process-oriented and didactic groups is beneficial.
