About The Position
We are looking for an experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurses to provide care to the detention adult & juvenile patient population.
Requirements
- Wyoming Registered Nurse unrestricted license
- Two years of current experience in a Psychiatric/Behavioral Health setting
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
Nice To Haves
- Psychiatric specialty certification is preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Pass medications to juveniles in the juvie facility.
- See juveniles for sick call, intake assessments, and addressing any medical concerns they may have.
- Start and end shifts at the juvie facility.
- Go to the adult facility (11 miles away – the county provides rides both ways) once morning tasks at Juvie are finished.
- Round on all patients in the mental health units at the adult facility.
- Act as Liaison between the county mental health staff and our mental health staff.
- Do discharge planning.
- Perform monthly mental health CQIs.
