About The Position

The Behavioral Health Outpatient Department at Baptist Medical Center Clay is seeking a Psych Provider Assistant (PPA) for a PRN Days opportunity. This role involves supporting providers, patients, and front desk staff within the department. The ideal candidate will be adept at multitasking, possess strong communication and organizational skills, and have prior clerical experience.

Requirements

• 3-5 years Behavioral health experience in lieu of preferred education
• High School Diploma
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Organizational skills
• Previous experience in clerical work

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field

Responsibilities

• Manages all administrative duties for the psychiatrist.
• Performs similar functions for the non-psychiatrist providers as needed.
• Answering incoming calls on a phone queue
• Provide assistance to patients and staff across all office locations
• Dually trains as an office specialist and has knowledge of the billing and scheduling job codes.
• Ensures that the office runs smoothly and without disruption.
