Baptist is hiring a Psych Provider Assistant for the Behavioral Health Outpatient Department. This is a Full Time Days position, working Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, located at Baptist Medical Center Downtown. The Psych Provider Assistant (PPA) will support the Behavioral Health Department by directly assisting the provider and front desk staff. This role requires an individual who can multitask and possesses excellent written and verbal communication, organizational skills, and previous clerical work experience.

Requirements

• 3-5 Years Relevant Behavioral Health experience
• High School Diploma required
• Previous experience in clerical work
• Ability to multitask
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Organizational skills

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS) preferred

Responsibilities

• Direct assistant to the psych provider.
• Manages all administrative duties for the psychiatrist.
• Performs similar functions for the non-psychiatrist providers as needed.
• Dually trains as an office specialist and has knowledge of the billing and scheduling job codes.
• Ensures that the office runs smoothly and without disruption.
