About The Position

Pasadena Villa Outpatient Colorado Springs is seeking a Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for their outpatient location. This role involves providing evidence-based and personalized clinical care for behavioral health conditions. Requirements

  • Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the State of Colorado with full prescriptive authority.
  • Working knowledge of psychotherapy, psychopathology, diagnostic assessment, and related treatment interventions.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based treatments and ability to individualize treatment approaches.
  • Ability to conceptualize and implement a master treatment plan with fully developed problems, objectives, and goals, and monitor other clinicians.
  • Three plus years of psychological experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable three-year driving record.
  • Active and clear DEA License.
  • Background check clearance in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with mental health PHP/IOP and/or psychiatric hospital experience.
  • Experience with co-occurring disorders and/or substance use disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting psychiatric evaluations and ensuring medical necessity for individuals in the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP).
  • Providing medication management services for individuals enrolled in PHP as needed.
  • Being available on-site at least weekly and by telephone for urgent medication-related situations.
  • Providing consultation, education, and related information to patients and families to enhance treatment success and program engagement.
  • Directing and collaborating with staff on clinical activities and interventions.
  • Completing medical records and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner to meet clinical, payer, and other requirements.
  • Performing other activities as requested by the Director and assuming other appropriate medical responsibilities as necessary.
