Requirements

Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the State of Colorado with full prescriptive authority.
Working knowledge of psychotherapy, psychopathology, diagnostic assessment, and related treatment interventions.
Knowledge of evidence-based treatments and ability to individualize treatment approaches.
Ability to conceptualize and implement a master treatment plan with fully developed problems, objectives, and goals, and monitor other clinicians.
Three plus years of psychological experience.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable three-year driving record.
Active and clear DEA License.
Background check clearance in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Nice To Haves

Experience with mental health PHP/IOP and/or psychiatric hospital experience.
Experience with co-occurring disorders and/or substance use disorders.

Responsibilities

Conducting psychiatric evaluations and ensuring medical necessity for individuals in the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP).
Providing medication management services for individuals enrolled in PHP as needed.
Being available on-site at least weekly and by telephone for urgent medication-related situations.
Providing consultation, education, and related information to patients and families to enhance treatment success and program engagement.
Directing and collaborating with staff on clinical activities and interventions.
Completing medical records and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner to meet clinical, payer, and other requirements.
Performing other activities as requested by the Director and assuming other appropriate medical responsibilities as necessary.
