About The Position
Right at Home Boston and Maine’s Scarborough office is immediately hiring compassionate and dependable Personal Support Specialists, Direct Support Professionals, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Direct Support Workers to provide in-home care to clients in Scarborough and surrounding communities. This position is ideal for caregivers seeking daytime work with shorter shift blocks and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults and individuals who need support at home.
Requirements
- Current PSS, DSP, CNA, or DSW credential or relevant caregiving experience
- Compassionate, dependable, and professional
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client homes
- Ability to complete all required background checks, health documentation, and training
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care and activities of daily living
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding when needed
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe ambulation
- Provide medication reminders
- Accompany clients to appointments or errands when assigned
- Follow the client’s care plan and document services provided
- Report changes in the client’s condition to the office
