About The Position

Provide clinical oversight of Mental Health services for people with Mental Health Diagnoses and people dually diagnosed with Mental Health Disorders and Intellectual Disabilities served by The Arc of the St. Johns, Inc. Position is weekdays, 8am to 4pm. Caseload can consist of conducting up to 2 PSR sessions per day and completing session notes on all participants (12 to 24 notes per day). In general your caseload will be 1 PSR session and 12 notes per day, but is subject to change dependent upon staffing schedules at your current and other sites. Prepares and turns in documentation to designated reviewer, including session notes, by 4:00 p.m. the same day of session. All corrections need to be made by the next day, in order to maintain the 48 hour requirement of documentation completion. This is based on the Best notes/Medicaid requirements. Responsible assisting in the program development of the (planning and structuring services) Mental Health Day Treatment and Social Rehabilitation program. Plan lessons/prepare for PSR sessions conducted Monday through Friday. Submit lesson plans to your supervisor by Friday afternoon for the following week. Instruct PSR sessions daily (Monday through Friday) by following the PSR guidelines of activities and addressing objectives. Help individuals with regards to food, hygiene, maintaining a clean environment, etc.. Completes PSR data, presenting problem, snap, and medication sections of treatment plans/reviews as scheduled on the monthly report list. Sign Treatment plans/reviews within 24 hrs of their completion. Check your review box daily and sign documents. Assist in obtaining signatures from clients on consents, treatment plans/reviews, etc. Ensures the agency safety procedures are adhered to by program participants and staff. Informs (Senior)/ Licensed Mental Health Counselor of any problems in the form of an Unusual Incident Report. Understands and practices the Participants’ Bill of Rights and Normalization when working with or advocating for program participants. Will follow all ethical standards associated with the position, including HIPAA, Abuse reporting, etc.

Requirements

  • Minimum BS or BA Degree in Mental health or related field and/or 2 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health related illnesses (dual diagnosis) or certified as a CBHT.
  • Be willing to obtain or maintain certifications as required by state guidelines.
  • Pass a level II criminal background check.
  • Provide 3 References.
  • Become and keep certified in Safety Care techniques /CPR /1st Aid /HIPAA /Zero Tolerance.
