About The Position

This is an in-plant role where the Technician will work under the supervision of an assigned specific discipline. Based on experience, the individual evaluates, selects, and applies standard applicable techniques. This could include discipline work of purchasing, expediting, NDT Inspection, project controls, surveying, laser scanning, schedulers, planner, construction inspectors, project coordinators, automation, and controls. The role involves assisting the assigned supervisor in various aspects of projects, applying standard discipline techniques to make minor adaptations and modifications, and performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) with additional specialized training, or college course work, and at least six (6) years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
Valid Driver’s License as per State law or requirement
Detailed working knowledge of Policies and Procedures related to project work.
Ability to walk up to one mile on industrial plant and construction sites outdoors at any time of the year.
Ability to work in protective clothing which may elevate body temperatures by several degrees Fahrenheit for periods of up to 15 minutes without a break.
Ability to use multi-level stair towers and rung ladders unassisted.
Ability to hear safety alarms and signals while wearing hearing protection.
Ability to sit at desk and operate computer for extended periods of time.
Ability to stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear.
Ability to see with visual acuity and distinguish between colors.
Ability to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.
Ability to lift and carry 15 lbs. on a regular basis is required and at times lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required.

Responsibilities

Perform Enablon data management – update incident with person involved, update person responsible when there are changes in personnel, action item date changes.
Rectify incomplete information incidents or other Enablon applications.
Complete incident specific information: Investigation data, API fields, Incident Involvement and Action Plans.
Assist plant personnel with setting up their personal reports and dashboards.
Run system health reports for refinery Key Performance Indicators and Dashboard support.
Assessment Management.
Enablon Action Plan Management
Instruct employees/contractors on use of the software and Enablon user training classroom/TEAMs.
Support one on one training, instruction, and troubleshooting.
Metrics data entry and reporting for PSM KPI’s.
System testing for new applications or system changes.
Corporate support/sharing of Enablon application knowledge.
HAZOP/PHA Preparation and Post PHA documentation and tracking.
Regulatory and internal audit support.
Finance Administration for the PSM-Safety Engineering Department
Assist with other clerical duties. Which can include meals for PHAs and meetings and maintaining office supplies as well as office equipment.
File management of PHA records on Sphera/PHA Pro, Document management in EDMS (future Opentext), Departmental SharePoint Maintenance, Teams maintenance in Microsoft Teams, and Share directory file management.
