Under the supervision of the Center for Sleep Disorders Director, the Polysomnographic Technologist performs equipment and patient calibration, set-up, performance/documentation/troubleshooting of Polysomnographic recordings, tabulation and processing of test information and sleep laboratory logistical operations. This role also involves oversight, education, and training of PSG and student technologists during the work shift. The technologist participates in performance improvement programs and new program development. They assume responsibility and accountability for patients in the department and provide care through assessment, observation, and documentation. Additionally, they are responsible for all techs in the department.
