About The Position

Under general supervision, to provide both individual and family psychotherapy services to emotionally disturbed and/or mentally ill clients receiving treatment and rehabilitative services. This position will support the clinical, medical, case management, and direct care staff to coordinate care, complete assessments, and develop treatment and discharge plans for clients.

Requirements

  • Doctorate Degree in Psychology or Master's Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling.
  • Experience in family therapy.
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Valid state-issued license.
  • Able to pass background checks.
  • Within two months of hire date, completion of all required training per agency Training Policy 201.
  • Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to appropriately resolve conflict in a crisis situation.
  • Ability to communicate concisely and work well with client, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality.
  • Ability to withstand physical and emotional stress to perform clinical duties.
  • Requires long hours of standing and moving.
  • Extended periods of typing.
  • Occasional lifting in training, recreation, and physical intervention duties, up to 50lbs.
  • Requires the ability to sit at a desk for long periods of time.
  • Occasional walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
  • Must be able to use a telephone to communicate verbally and a keyboard to communicate through written means, to review information and enter/retrieve data, to see and reach characters on a computer screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Specialized education or experience working with mental health patients.
  • Experience in outpatient mental health settings, hospitals, or residential care settings.
  • At least two years of experience with population under clinical supervision.
  • Training in multiple modalities of interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Informed Care (TIC), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT).
  • Experience working with children/adolescents.
  • Experience or training in drug and alcohol assent and intervention.
  • Experience with providing individual and group therapy.
