About The Position

The Provisioning Coordinator is responsible for end-to-end ownership of assigned telecommunications service delivery activities from order acceptance through installation, activation, billing readiness, and project closure. This role supports Meriplex by coordinating carrier service delivery, managing vendor commitments, identifying and resolving delivery risks, maintaining accurate documentation, and providing clear communication to customers and internal stakeholders. Working cross-functionally across delivery, support, and customer-facing teams, this role ensures services are delivered accurately, on time, and in alignment with customer expectations. The ideal candidate brings hands-on telecommunications experience, strong follow-through, sound judgment, and a collaborative, ownership-driven mindset, with the ability to independently manage a changing portfolio of projects in a fast-paced service delivery environment. A demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction, project execution excellence, and accurate service delivery is essential.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of telecommunications provisioning, circuit delivery, carrier management, or service delivery coordination experience required.
  • Deep working knowledge of telco circuit ordering and delivery, including carrier milestones, firm order commitment (FOC) dates, jeopardy management, escalations, installation coordination, activation, disconnects, and billing start and end date impacts.
  • Experience managing carrier orders for services such as DIA, fiber, Ethernet, broadband, SD-WAN, voice, VoIP, UCaaS, number porting, analog/POTS, and data services.
  • Exposure to LAN/WAN networking concepts, demarc extensions, handoff types, IP addressing, and site readiness requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, urgency, and professionalism.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project coordination skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with customers, carriers, vendors, Account Management, engineers, and leadership.
  • Collaborative team player who works effectively across departments to achieve customer commitments and deliver services accurately and on schedule.
  • Strong ownership mentality with the ability to drive work to completion, hold stakeholders accountable, and proactively remove roadblocks.
  • Ability to pivot quickly when priorities shift, carrier timelines change, or customer requirements evolve while continuing to protect delivery commitments.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while keeping stakeholders informed and aligned.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft 365 tools, carrier portals, ticketing systems, and order tracking platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ConnectWise or similar professional services automation (PSA) or ticketing platforms.
  • Experience working in an MSP, carrier, telecom broker, enterprise IT, or service delivery environment.
  • Experience coordinating multi-site telecom projects, customer migrations, circuit replacements, network turn-ups, SD-WAN deployments, or carrier disconnect initiatives.
  • Familiarity with customer billing validation, service inventory, telecom expense management, or vendor invoice reconciliation.
  • Experience working with telecom expense or service management partners.

Responsibilities

  • Own assigned provisioning and carrier service delivery projects from sales handoff through installation, activation, billing initiation, and project closure.
  • Maintain clear next actions, due dates, dependencies, risks, and escalation paths for all assigned orders, ensuring work progresses without unnecessary delay.
  • Review new sales orders and validate service details before order placement, including service address, product, bandwidth, term, pricing, site contacts, Letters of Authorization (LOAs), demarc information, access requirements, and site readiness.
  • Partner closely with Account Management, Project Management, Network Architecture, Network Support, Activations, carriers, and vendor partners to drive successful project execution, service activation, customer satisfaction, and timely service delivery.
  • Place and manage provisioning orders including fiber, dedicated internet access (DIA), Ethernet, broadband, SD-WAN, analog/POTS, voice, VoIP, UCaaS, number porting, and other telecommunications services.
  • Place and manage circuit and analog line disconnect orders through completion, including confirmation of service termination and billing end dates.
  • Proactively identify risks that may affect service delivery, customer expectations, project timelines, or billing accuracy, and take appropriate action before they become critical.
  • Lead or support internal and external escalations as needed to remove obstacles, recover jeopardized orders, and achieve committed delivery outcomes.
  • Provide clear, timely, and accurate status updates to customers, Account Management, project teams, carriers, leadership, and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain detailed documentation in ticketing and order management systems, including order status, carrier updates, customer dependencies, billing triggers, disconnect completion, and escalation history.
  • Coordinate with service management partners to support telco expense management, service validation, and accurate customer billing.
  • Monitor carrier portals, vendor systems, email, and service tickets for order updates, electronic confirmations, and customer-impacting changes.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying process gaps, recurring delivery issues, documentation needs, and opportunities to improve the customer experience.
