About The Position

Administers, conducts, evaluates, and supervises the implementation of comprehensive behavioral assessment measures (e.g., Practical Functional Assessment (PFA), Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scale, Assessment of Functional Living Skills (AFLS), Essential Eight Quick Assessment, etc.) and/or other functional assessment measures as assigned or indicated. Develops individualized goals and objectives for home, community, and center-based programs as indicated by the needs of the people we support. Designs behavior support plans based on functional assessment data. Is a role-model for a highly engaging and functioning behavioral team. This role ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented, completes all necessary documentation, fulfills clinically recommended service hours, develops comprehensive reports, maintains availability for crisis situations, responds to referrals, and meets regularly with assigned BCBA and Director of Behavioral Services. The position also involves teaching management staff and DSPs on proper implementation of behavior programs and data collection, conducting regular caregiver and/or guardian training and consultation. As a leader, the role models for behavior technicians, RBTs, and practicum students, developing others, empowering teams, promoting collaboration, removing barriers, and showing recognition. Professional development includes participating in required professional meetings or conferences and maintaining necessary training for crisis management procedures.

Requirements

Strong knowledge and deep understanding of the science of behavior analysis and behavior analytic therapies.
Ability to work effectively and influence the work of project resources with multi-disciplinary teams for whom you do not have direct supervisory responsibility and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Ability to develop and deliver training to leadership and project team members.
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight, as well as in a team environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and industry standard productivity applications and project management software.
Effective communication (written/oral), presentation skills, and professional presence.
A willingness to learn and grow in a flexible environment.
Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field.
Enrolled in or completed a MA/MS program in Human Services or related field.
Supervised hours and approval from an existing BCBA.
Ability to submit samples of clinical work (to demonstrate competence) to the state for approval.
1 year knowledge of functional behavior assessment design, behavior support plans design, program/goal development, behavior reduction and skills acquisition procedures and staff training.
2 years’ experience supporting individuals with lifelong disabilities.
Current Provisional Licensure or able to obtain and maintain Provisional Licensure as a BCBA in the state of Missouri.

Responsibilities

Ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented such that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals to allow for the continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of individual goals and objectives.
Completes all necessary documentation in a timely and satisfactory manner as stated in AbleLight’s Good Documentation Policy and/or as requested by Director of Behavioral Services.
Fulfills clinically recommended service hours requested on client treatment plans.
Develops/writes comprehensive reports documenting behavioral recommendations for guardians, caregivers and agency personnel in a timely and accurate manner as requested by assigned BCBA and/or Director of Behavioral Services.
Maintain availability to respond to the needs of the persons we serve, providing consultation and on-site assistance to behavior crisis situations.
Responds to referrals for service in a timely and appropriate manner.
Meets regularly with assigned BCBA and Director of Behavioral Services.
Immediately notifies on issues impacting people we serve regarding their progress and satisfaction.
Teaches management staff and DSPs on the proper implementation of reinforcement, initiative-taking and preventative behavior programs and plans, data collection systems and all necessary monitoring and reporting systems.
Conducts regular caregiver and/or guardian training and consultation.
As a role model for behavior technicians, RBTs, and practicum students, aligns the passion and talents of others to serve the people we support by actively developing others, empowering teams, promoting collaboration, removing barriers, and showing recognition and appreciation all to attract and retain top talent.
Receives and applies constructive feedback and is independent with communicating when additional support is needed.
Participates in professional meetings or conferences as required by the director of behavioral services and as required by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) or by state rules and regulations to maintain certification, licensure and/or status as a provider.
Maintain any required training to include any necessary crisis management procedures in the behavior plans as needed.
