Administers, conducts, evaluates, and supervises the implementation of comprehensive behavioral assessment measures (e.g., Practical Functional Assessment (PFA), Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scale, Assessment of Functional Living Skills (AFLS), Essential Eight Quick Assessment, etc.) and/or other functional assessment measures as assigned or indicated. Develops individualized goals and objectives for home, community, and center-based programs as indicated by the needs of the people we support. Designs behavior support plans based on functional assessment data. Is a role-model for a highly engaging and functioning behavioral team. This role ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented, completes all necessary documentation, fulfills clinically recommended service hours, develops comprehensive reports, maintains availability for crisis situations, responds to referrals, and meets regularly with assigned BCBA and Director of Behavioral Services. The position also involves teaching management staff and DSPs on proper implementation of behavior programs and data collection, conducting regular caregiver and/or guardian training and consultation. As a leader, the role models for behavior technicians, RBTs, and practicum students, developing others, empowering teams, promoting collaboration, removing barriers, and showing recognition. Professional development includes participating in required professional meetings or conferences and maintaining necessary training for crisis management procedures.
